M.Tech in Machine Design is being offered by Department of Mechanical Engineering. The program is approved by AICTE, Govt of Karnataka & is affiliated to VTU, Belgaum Karnataka. The program curriculum involves an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science & engineering & also analysis of static & dynamic forces to design machine elements to meet strength, safety, reliability & cost specifications and able to analyze the stress & strain on mechanical components & understand , identify & quatify failure modes for mechanical parts. Course mainly focuses on an ability to identify, formulate & solve engineering problems & also on Design of Mechanisms and Components using Analytical, Numerical & Experimental approaches.
