Mechanical Engineering

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SKSVMACET, Lakshmeshwar. Mechanical engineering stands as one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. As the Head of the Department, I take pride in leading a team of highly motivated and dedicated individuals who are committed to providing quality education and research opportunities to our students. Our journey began in the year 2003.

The department boasts well-qualified and dedicated faculty members. The main objective of the department is to encourage students both personally and professionally to achieve successful careers in prominent industries. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. For the overall development of students, we have formulated a Mechanical Engineering Students’ association, i.e., TORQUE. The department conducts various programs under the students’ association ‘TORQUE,’ such as workshops, technical training, project expos, guest lectures, and seminars by experts from both industry and academic backgrounds for the constant knowledge up-gradation of staff and students.

In 2022, the Mechanical Engineering department research center was established. The objective is to provide an excellent academic and research experience to students to meet the needs and challenges of the country. Project funding from AICTE and VGST, nearly 31 lakhs, has helped us maintain and modernize our research infrastructure to strengthen and expand research activities in this institution.

Students have actively taken part in various competitions. Our graduates are employed in multinational companies, defense services, and academic institutions in India and abroad. Our students have achieved the best at the university level in sports. Our technical support staff is unique in their own way. Students, as well as visitors, find them very friendly, amicable, and highly intelligent.
